character. CHARACTER NAME: Marth SERIES: Fire Emblem CANON POINT: Soon after the events of Shadow Dragon. APPEARANCE: Doop doop girly princey man. Taller than Link, which... totally counts as a measurement of height okay DESIRED CLASS & REASONING: Blade Brandier because of his canon fightity style, and because big classy swords for big classy manly men! Right?! PREVIOUSLY IN HOLYRELIC: N/A
PERSONALITY:
Marth is mature and clever beyond his years-- as one has to be, when faced with the same situations he has lived through. Though sensitive at heart, and still just a youth, Marth constantly puts his duties before himself. He sets high, near-impassible goals, and will do everything in his power to achieve what he must for the good of his people. Those who know him well would call him somewhat of a perfectionist. His workaholic attitude can put a great distance between himself and his friends, as he mostly ignores their advice and concerns for his well-being in favour of 'doing the right thing'. Though he loves his close friends dearly, Marth believes that his destiny is not his to write; there is too much at stake, and when the fate of the continent rests on his shoulders, is it any wonder why he'd be afraid to stray or falter? Dragons aside, the boy would take on the troubles of the entire world if it meant peace was to be achieved. Guilt of being helpless, of watching his country and family fall as he fled, still stings in his heart- now that he is grown and able, the prince yearns to protect not only his fallen home but all he happens to meet. Though raised on memories of tragedy and thoughts of revenge, Marth has a kind heart, and does not judge men simply by the colour of their banner. Many of his enemies' soldiers ended up joining the League at his invitation; perhaps it was not only his charismatic skill that drew them to his cause, but the kind, honest soul behind the words that everyone put their belief in. Though undeniably noble, and an excellent leader, Marth is still somewhat of a child, and has his moments of naïveté. He is particularly awkward around children and women, wherein they often leave him at a loss for words, and nine times out of ten he'll embarrass himself.
samples. FIRST-PERSON SAMPLE:
[muffled; seems like someone's sitting on his Relic. You know, like a smooth person.] Ooogh... my head. Merric? Caeda? What hap--
Oh.
[Cue shuffling and scraping, as Marth gets his bearings and back onto his feet.] What's this, now? It's like some strange little... machine.
What exactly is going on here?
THIRD-PERSON SAMPLE:
Another day, another event. It was not something Marth was used to-- though there was some semblance of 'schedule' here, it was far different than his royal duties back home: a routine that he had, since the end of the conflict, just been settling back into again. The atmosphere, too, was different-- in a way, relaxing, as he felt the pressure lessen. No great destiny was piled upon his shoulders here, nor an army to look out for, or a great dragon to slay-- ah, one might have spoken too soon about the dragons.
In trying to find some semblance of familiarity in a place as strange as The World, Marth happened upon the idea of creating a guild. It seemed strange-- there was no real goal in mind for it save for the nostalgia, perhaps, but what could it hurt? There was always, of course, some joy in bringing people together under a common cause. Now to think of one...
He racked his brain, but alone, the idea seemed to rattle idly in his head, largely uninspired. With a soft sigh, the prince brushed aside errant strands of blue hair and stood. Perhaps a walk would do him some good, and it wouldn't hurt to get some opinions from the friends he had made here. Even in a world so unfamiliar, companionship was truly what made it go 'round.
